Shibata shows strong pace en route podium; Chan has a nightmare of a weekend

@FerrariRaces
Shintaro Akatsu driving the Ferrari 296 Challenge in the Ineco - Reparto Corse RAM team had a remarkable race 1 at the Ferrari Challenge Europe. Starting from 6th on the grid, Akatsu launched himself into the P3 spot and finished on the podium. However, his race 2 was cut short after an incident with car #180, which meant he couldn鈥檛 complete a single lap.
In contrast, Charles Chan from Hong Kong encountered a series of unfortunate events that severely affected his performance. After starting in a promising position in P2, Chan found himself embroiled in a collision with Stephen Earle while attempting to return to the racing line. This incident caused Chan's car to crash into the side barrier and subsequently collide with Talal Shair's vehicle. The damage forced Chan to retire from the race, ending what could have been a competitive outing for him. Charles did not take part in Race 2.
Norikazu Shibata, also from Japan, had a mixed race experience but managed to capitalize on the chaos surrounding him. Following the collision involving Chan and others, Shibata advanced to P6. He later benefited from a penalty imposed on Pino Farascarro for improper starting alignment, allowing him to move up to P5. Despite facing challenges from Paolo Scudieri, who briefly overtook him before receiving a time penalty for exceeding track limits, Shibata finished in fourth place. In race 2, Shibata climbed to the podium starting from a strong P5.
