Yifei Ye drove the #83 Ferrari 499P. He started with a 19th-place finish in Free Practice 1, showing a steady beginning. Ye excelled in Free Practice 2, securing 3rd place, demonstrating strong pace. The team maintained consistency, achieving 5th in Free Practice 3 and topping Free Practice 4 with a 1st-place finish. The #83 qualified 18th. Ye helped navigate early challenges during the race and made a strong recovery, contributing to a fastest lap of 3:23.994. His overcut during the night, secured the lead for the #83. The #83 Ferrari completed 387 laps to win, marking Ye to be the first Chinese winner in The 24hrs of Le Mans.

A heartbreaking end to Jack Aitken’s #311 after 15 hours of running

Aitken started the race from 8th after qualifying. Aitken maintained competitive pace, setting the fastest race lap at 3:22.742 breaking the track record for the race. However, the #311 Cadillac retired after 247 laps, about 15 hours into the race, retired due to mechanical issues, ending his run early and prevented a competitive finish.

Marino Sato, Darren Leung, and Sean Gelael’s United Autosports team ended their Le Mans campaign early driving the #95 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo for United Autosports in the LMGT3 class. Their best position was 9th through the race. In qualifying, United Autosports qualified 12th. The #95 car retired after 6 hours due to a power unit issue.
