From P27 to victory, Roberto Merhi/Yoshiaki Katayama and the Velorex Crew take their maiden GT300 victory after the last lap drama saw race leaders and their closest rival Subaru BRZ R&D crew retire just before the chequered flag. The Velorex car started 27th on the grid and made an incredible run through the field to clinch GT300 victory.

The #777 D’station Aston Martin Vantage GT3 driven by Tomonobu Fujii/Charlie Fagg took second place after leading GT300 for much of the afternoon. A mid-race puncture saw them lose the lead and ultimately settle for second best. The #7 CarGuy MKS 296 GT3 driven by Zak O’Sullivan/Rikuto Kobayashi clinched the final place on the podium.

The #1 au TOM’S GR Supra of Sho Tsuboi and Kenta Yamashita’s 2nd place helps them extend their lead in the championship despite not being able to challenge for a historic 4th consecutive SUPER GT win.
