 Leong/Denning and Lee/Liang dominate; Li/Li and Buncharoen win AM

The opening race of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo in Sydney provided a thrilling spectacle, and both races in the opening round were full of drama and high-speed action. The opening race saw a scintillating performance from SJM Theodore Racing duo Charles Leong and Alex Denning, who took the top step on the podium in the PRO class. They were just pipped at the flag by Ethan Brown and Hampus Eriksson in P2, who edged Gavin Huang and Jonathan Cecotto on a photo finish after a last-lap duel.

In PRO-AM, Climax Racing’s Liu Kaishun and Cao Qikuan winning secured P1, Lu Zhiwei and Ling Kang, and Korean squad SQDA-GRIT Motorsport’s Brian Lee Changwoo and Liang Jiatong third The AM class saw a win by Climax Racing's Dongsheng Li and Donghui Li, P2 by Haziq Oh and Hairie Oh, and Umar Abdullah with Dypo Fitramadhan on the podium, in the third position overall. The LC class saw a race featuring just two drivers—Supachai, who took the victory, and Kumar Prabakaran, who secured second place overall.

The second race of the weekend saw a repeat of PRO class dominance by Charles Leong and Alex Denning of SJM Theodore Racing, who claimed another win. Nazim Azman and Emilien Carde finished second, while Gavin Huang and Jonathan Cecotto secured another P3. In the PRO-AM category, the podium mirrored that of race one, with Lee and Liang on top, Liu and Kao in P2, and Chen with Tung in P3. The AM class win was secured by Suttiluck Buncharoen of True Vision Motorsports Thailand, as Li and Li secured P2 and Jaijun Song took P3. The LC class saw Supachai win again, with Kumar Prabakaran in second.
