Kanthan clinches E4 Winter rookie title
American driver of Indian origin, Vivek Kanthan, clinched the Rookie Euro4 Spanish Winter Championship, securing four podiums and four rookie wins on his way to the title.

VIVEK KANTHAN CLINCHES THE ROOKIE E4 SPANISH WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP IN NAVARRO
Vivek clinched the Rookie Championship in the E4 Spanish Winter Championship at Circuito de Navarra over the weekend. Hailing from the United States, Kanthan previously competed in senior karting, finishing 25th in the FIA Karting European Championship last year.
Having made his karting debut at the age of 10, Vivek quickly made his mark by winning the New York State Championship in his first year of racing in 2019. He continued his rise through the ranks, securing titles in the Rotax National Championship and the ROK World Superfinal.

In Jerez, Round 1 of E4 Spanish Winter Championship, Vivek qualified 7th under tricky conditions but fought his way up to rookie P3 in Race 1. He picked up his first rookie win of the season a overall P2 very quickly in the sprint race. In the second race at Jerez, he qualified P2 and held his position to finish P2 overall.
Vivek’s strongest performance came in Round 2 at Portimão, where he delivered podium finishes with a P2 and P3 after qualifying P4 and P2, respectively.
The last weekend of the championship in Navarro saw his luck run out with a P18, P6, and a DNF across all 3 races. But his strong performances in the previous two rounds had done enough to seal the rookie championship.
Kanthan will now make his F4 Spanish Championship debut with Campos Racing.
