Italian F4: Nakamura-Berta dominates; Anurag & Chi show strong performances
The Italian F4 kicked off in Misano last weekend with a massive 41-car grid. Asian representation on the grid included Kean Nakamura-Berta, Kabir Anurag, and Zhenrui "Newman" Chi.
Kean Nakamura-Berta
Kean had the most dominant performance throughout the weekend. The PREMA driver placed 2nd in FP1 as well as FP2 establishing the pace to challenge for pole position in qualifying was present, especially since the lap times were within a tenth off Bondarev Oleksandr and Wheldon Sebastian respectively. Kean qualified on pole, with a lap time of 1:35:326 and Sebastian being within a hundredth off pole, showcasing how tight the field is. Kean went on to win all 3 race sessions as a clean sweep.
Kabir Anurag

Kabir began the weekend by securing a 16th place in FP1 and setting a lap time of 1:36:053 but moving to 9th place in FP2 where he set an improved lap time of 1:35:917 which was the same time set for 8th place, indicating a strong pace for the weekend. Anurag Qualified 5th in Serie A and went on to finish 7th and 5th in Race 2 and 3 respectively, maintaining consistency and holding position.
Zhenrui “Newman” Chi
Newman Chi entered the weekend placing 13th and 16th in FP1 and FP2 respectively, with lap times of 1:35:896 and 1:36:175 showcasing how close the field was in terms of pace. The PREMA driver qualified third in Qualifying A. However, Chi dropped down to 5th in Race 1, in spite of which he maintained a consistent pace for Race 2 and Race 3, where he finished 7th and 9th respectively.
