The Canadian GP saw mixed fortunes for Albon and Tsunoda, with both drivers facing challenges
Williams’ Alex Albon had a difficult race in Montreal. Starting from 16th on the grid, Albon was immediately involved in a tough battle at the start, including going off track at Turn 8 which dropped him to 12th place. Unfortunately, Albon suffered a mechanical issue related to the Power Unit midway through the race, which forced him to retire after completing 46 laps.
Yuki Tsunoda faced a setback even before the race due to a 10-place grid penalty. This penalty was handed down after Tsunoda was found guilty of overtaking under red flag conditions during the final practice session. During the race, Tsunoda managed to climb up to finish 12th, one lap down from the leaders, showing resilience in recovering positions but ultimately finishing outside the points

She started Race 3 from pole position, having secured her third consecutive pole in qualifying. During the race, Chambers led a lights-to-flag effort, skillfully managing multiple Safety Car restarts to maintain her lead and take the chequered flag. Chambers bounced back impressively from difficult 2 races to claim the top step of the podium in the final race. Her victory margin was narrow, holding off pressure from Ella Lloyd and Doriane Pin, who completed the podium. Chambers’ performance was a key highlight of the weekend and significantly boosted her championship challenge
Chloe Chong had a rollercoaster weekend in Montreal. She had a poor first two races where she made an impressive climb from 17th to 8th but was taken out by a driver’s unsafe entry back onto the track. In race 2, she registered a DNF. The silver lining of the weekend came in Race 3 where she finished 5th place, just behind Tina Hausmann and ahead of Maya Weug. This solid points finish was achieved after a competitive race where she stayed close to the leaders and managed to avoid incidents that affected
