Tough Luck for Virat Kohli’s Team Blue Rising in Doha

It was a weekend of highs and lows for Team Blue Rising, owned by Virat Kohli, at the UIM E1 World Championship in Doha. After an impressive qualifying run that saw them secure P2, hopes were high for a second consecutive podium.

Sara Misir put in a strong performance, finishing P2 in her group race. However, teammate John Peeters picked up a long lap penalty in his race, making their path to the final more difficult. In the Race Off, more drama unfolded as Misir went the wrong side of a smart mark, leading to disqualification and ending the team's podium hopes.

There was some consolation as Peeters defeated Team Miami powered by Magnus in the Place Race, salvaging valuable points.
