Budiharjo completes a clean sweep to take pole positions at the maiden Sepang Rounds
Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia is a one-make racing series based in Indonesia, organized by Superstars Motorsport. Since its inception, the series has exclusively raced on Indonesia’s Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. But for the first time, the series will expand internationally by visiting Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit for its opening three rounds of 2025 before heading back to Mandalika.

Under the damp skies of Sepang International Circuit, seven drivers battled for pole position supremacy for the first-ever Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia race in Malaysia. But it was Rizqy Motorsport’s Daffa Ardiansyah Budiharjo who completed a clean sweep by securing pole positions for all three races.
The qualifying sessions were anything but easy for the drivers owing to the challenging nature of the track and the fact that some sectors were declared wet. In Q2, Hendrik Jaya Soewatdy spun out and was momentarily stuck inside the gravel trap, causing a red flag in the process. Thankfully, the Indonesian managed to escape after some time and took fourth at the end. GT4 Class Champion of 2024, David Djaja, impressed his new team, Bestcorp. MM Galleri Racing Team by taking second in the Pro class in Q3, a steady growth from fourth in Q1 and third in Q2.. Elsewhere, Yuey Tan’s experience with Sepang International Circuit proved valuable, with the Singaporean taking third in Q3.
The damp weather also dampened Hu Bo’s spirits as he was not able to start the final qualifying run due to licensing issues, according to one of his crew members. The matter was being discussed at the time of writing. The Chinese driver only had one successful qualifying run by taking second in Q1. Australia’s Todd Kingsford, who was the only GT4 runner, was unhappy to learn that he would be starting from sixth in all races.
