The final weekend at The Yas Marina Circuit proved to be a thrilling weekend from the 15th-16th of February which displayed the true thrill of endurance racing.

MANTHEY RACING COMES OUT ON TOP WITH A FAIRYTALE 1-2 IN OVERALL STANDINGS AFTER AN EVENTFUL WEEKEND
The final weekend at The Yas Marina Circuit from the 15th-16th of February displayed the true thrill of endurance racing. Mathey Racing clinching a 1-2 in the overall standings proved to be the perfect ending for the German team. in The Asian Le Mans Series 2024-25, where many Asian drivers provided stellar results across categories in spite of difficulties, with many teams competing for their debut season.
1. Danial Frost

Daniel Frost, driving for Graff Racing in the LMP3 class, demonstrated a strong recovery performance throughout the weekend. The team qualified in 11th position but secured a podium finish, placing 3rd in the LMP3 class. However, strategic errors prevented them from reaching their full potential.
Despite a strong performance in Race 1, the team ultimately finished 7th and was not classified due to technical troubles. A lengthy pit stop dropped them to the back of the field, and their race was further compromised by a fuel rig issue, leaving them in last place. Daniel Frost concluded the weekend in 10th place in the LMP3 drivers’ standings.

2. Bihouang Zhou

Bihouang Zhou driving for Climax Racing in the GT category, showed a strong performance in qualifying, securing the 4th position. Car 2 However fell short of pace and finished 14th and 12th in Race 1 & 2 respectively.
Zhou finished 14th in the GT driver’s standings due to a late driver change which dropped them from the 2nd position, while the team finished 12th in the overall standings of the GT class.
3. Antares Au

Antares Au, driving for Manthey Racing in the GT category for Manthey racing had a stellar performance in Race 1 and Race 2, arriving at the 2nd position, securing a podium in Race 1 and going onto win the second race, making it a Manthey 1-2 for the overall standings in The GT class.
In Race 1, The late driver change of Climax racing promoted the No. 10 Manthey to 2nd place and a podium finish, on par with Winward Racing.
The momentum was carried onto Race 2 and went on to win the race.
This provided a stellar comeback for Au after being involved in an accident at Sepang, the first race of the season in 2024.
4. Carl Bennett

Absolute Racing displayed a strong performance in the GT category, despite Qualifying 43rd, they finished at 18 and 21 for Race 1 and Race 2 respectively.
Absolute Racing finished 24th in the overall standings of The GT class.
5. Takeshi Kimura
The Car Guy team displayed strong and consistent performance after Qualifying 10th. They finished 6th in Race 2. Kimura placed 20 in the drivers’ standings and Absolute Racing secured a 10th-place finish in the standings, both results for the GT class.
6. Hongli Ye & Bo Yuan

Origine Motorsport driving Car #87 were faced with multiple challenges after Qualifying 29th due to multiple damages to the car as a cause of multiple race incidents which saw the poor qualifying position. However, they were able to turn this around and finish at a 12th position for Race 1.
Origine Motorsport at the end of the season, finished with an overall standing of a 10th position in The GT category, along with Ye and Yuan securing a 12th position in the championship.
