Asian Karters take on Round 3 of WSK’s Super Master Series
The WSK Karting Championship is a crucial stepping stone for aspiring drivers aiming to progress to professional motorsport. Here's how the next gen of Asian talent fared in Round 3:
Lonato, Italy
WSK Round 3
With 80 karts lined up for round 3, karters in the Mini Gr.3 category faced an uphill climb last weekend. They provided stellar results in the eliminatory heats while karters in OK-J showed consistency throughout the weekend, displaying finishes not below the 20th position at Lonato.

1. Atiqa Mir (MINI GR.3)

Atiqa qualified in the 13th position despite not having a tow. With a strong opening, she finished 7th in the first round of the eliminatory heats, setting purple sectors. The remaining heat rounds were slightly more challenging, with the lowest finish being 27th and the highest being 15th. Atiqa finished 38th in the overall heats and 30th in the Pre-Finals.
2. Linghan Li (MINI GR.3)
Linghan had a consistent weekend, starting strong in the second session of Qualifying Practice, securing 9th position. He maintained steady finishes, with his highest placement being 13th and his lowest 19th, demonstrating resilience and consistently finishing within the top 20. Although he ended the heat rounds in 35th, he quickly recovered to 23rd in Pre-Finals A and ultimately finished 34th at the end of the weekend.
3. Endo Arata [OK-J]

Endo Arata too had great momentum throughout the weekend. He showed great pace during qualifying practice sessions, finishing 4th in qualifying practice and going onto secure 11th overall in qualifying. He had a consistent run through the heats, with the best result being 4th. After finishing 33rd in the heats, Arata recovered up to 6th place in the final race of the weekend.
4. Qarrar Firhand [OK-J]
Firhand had a strong weekend throughout, reflecting his pace and exceptional skills despite qualifying 56th. In the eliminatory heats, Firhand’s best position was 8th and worst place at 15th showcasing his consistency to remain within the top 15. The finish at 17th during the finals proves Firhand to be a talent to look out for.
5. Isaac Yoon (MINI GR.3)

Despite dropping to 29th in Qualifying after a tenth-place finish in Qualifying Practice 3, Isaac showed consistent finishes in the eliminatory Heat rounds, not seeing a finish below the 16th position. He finished 31st in the Final heats - the highest among all Asian karters maintaining the same position in Pre-Finals A. He however received a 5-second penalty for getting the starting position wrong and eventually finished the finals in P33.
6. Jiang Houzai Results [OK-J]

Hou Zhai had a strong weekend where he began the first qualifying session by finishing in 11th and qualified 33rd overall. He had supremely impressive results in the eliminatory heats, with his best being finishing in the 8th position and worst being in the 19th.
7. Chang Felix (MINI GR.3)

Chang Felix had a weekend with satisfactory results. After Qualifying 58th, Felix had a good result in Eliminatory Heat A-C, finishing in 17th. However, In spite of placing 17th in Pre-Finals A, Felix couldn’t qualify for the final round.
8. Kim Minjae (MINI GR.3)

Kim Minjae had a weekend which saw impressive finishes. Despite having a difficult qualifying where he finished 16th in Qualifying Practice 3 and 47th in Qualifying, he saw a strong trajectory in the eliminatory heats with a consistent finish within the top 20, placing 41st in the final heats. In the pre-finals however, Kim Minjae received a 5-second penalty due to an error in the start procedure during Pre-Finals A and saw him 53rd after the final phase penalty.
9. Sini Rito M [OK-J]
Sini Rito had a challenging weekend. Despite placing 61st in Qualifying, the performances during eliminatory heats were of great recovery, with the highest result going up to 21st. Sini Rito however, fell short of qualifying for the final race.
