Asian Karters take on IAME Euro Rd1

The IAME Euro Series kicked off in Cremona Circuit last weekend and saw 7 Asian drivers take part across 3 categories

IAME Euro Series Round 1

The IAME Euro Series organized by the RGMMC group kicked off in Cremona Circuit with a total grid of 185 drivers across the world. One of the most competitive karting championships in the world, the IAME Euro Series is provides a global stage for karting talent to shine.


In the X30 Senior category, Isaac Seah entered Super Heat 1 after qualifying 49th in the heats. Unfortunately, a five-second penalty for an incorrectly installed front fairing caused a significant setback. Unfortunately he couldn’t start the final race

Nawin Natiphon started the weekend with a difficult qualifying, finishing 81st overall in the heats. The Thai driver secured a P9 finish in the consolation race.

Thailand’s Werasak Aiemwichan had a similarly tough weekend. After struggling with qualifying, finishing 84th in the heats, he competed in the consolation race and finished P11. Meanwhile, his teammate Worapong Aiemwichan, qualifying 79th, delivered a better result, finishing P4 in the consolation race, just shy of making it further in the event.

However, the most unfortunate turn of events came for Yug Rana of India, who was disqualified from the competition for a technical infringement regarding the front fairing, putting an end to what had been a promising weekend.

In the X30 Junior category, Aaron Mehta showed solid consistency, qualifying 40th and making it into Super Heat 2. He fought hard to finish P17 but couldn’t secure a spot in the final race.

Sosuke Maeda from Japan qualified 36th and impressed with a P13 finish in Super Heat 2, earning a spot in the final race. Despite a five-second time penalty, Maeda managed to hold his ground but ultimately finished P33.
