As it happened: Indian National Rally Championship - Arunachal Rally

The highly anticipated Blueband FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship's second round, the Rally of Arunachal 2023, was held by the Motorsports Club of Arunachal in collaboration with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).

The Rally of Arunachal 2023 took place in Itanagar on June 13th, 2023, with a sizable field of 51 entrants, the biggest number ever seen in the North East. The event lived up to its promise by providing an adrenaline-fueled experience unlike any other. The exciting race also demonstrated the abilities and tenacity of rally drivers from a variety of classes, including INRC, INRC 2, INRC 3, INRC 4, Gipsy Class, JINRC (Junior INRC), and Women's Class.

The duo of Arjun Aroor and Satish Rajagopal of Mandovi Motors steered past the slush and the race leaders to achieve the top podium spot. The overnight leaders, Amittrajit Ghosh and Ashwin Naik failed to capitalise on the lead due to the unfavourable weather conditions. The defending champion, Karna Kadur, and Kumar Rangaswamy finished in fourth place. Experienced driver Gaurav Gill and Aniruddha Rangnekar had a tumultuous rally, finishing seventh after serving a road penalty.

Bikku Babu and Milen George achieved first place in the class of INRC2, finishing third in the overall standings. Ammyfied Rallying's Abhin Rai and Uday Kumar won the INRC4 class and in a fantastic run, Phoebe Nongrum of Shillong was the talk of the town for attaining her maiden podium in the INRC4 class. Anushriya Gulati clinched the top spot in the Ladies’ class. Arnav Pratap Singh and co-driver Arjun SSB won the Junior INRC class.
